Museums across Ohio are not just adapting, but innovating to reach their full potential and better serve their communities. No matter their role, museum professionals are introducing forward-thinking perspectives and initiating creative solutions to launch the field into a future where museums can remain trusted and relevant community cornerstones.

How can your museum stay true to mission and serve your community in new and meaningful ways? How can we as museum professionals meet the challenges of the future with reinvigorated enthusiasm?

Submit your session proposal now for the 2024 annual conference of the Ohio Museums Association as we explore best practices and innovative ideas in Ohio museums. We're seeking session proposals that will foster dynamic conversations around:

• Flexibility, Pivoting, and Innovating: adapting to changing visitor needs, fluctuating budgets, and limited staff capacity

• Innovative Technology: how museums are innovating using tech in practical exhibits, interactive tours, and incorporating AI

• Innovative Partnerships: how communities are working together in new ways and with new organizations to serve their missions; capitalizing on what makes us unique and special

• Innovating for Accessibility: how museums are ensuring their spaces, programs, and resources are accessible and enjoyable for all guests

• Innovating Spaces: how museums are approaching adaptive reuse and repurposing spaces, exhibits, and programs; how museums are remaining true to historic preservation while making spaces usable for today’s needs

• Financial Innovation: how to innovate on a tight budget, development and donor relations, financial best practices, grants and other funding sources, finding and cultivating diverse funding sources

• Innovating for Big Picture Questions: addressing worker needs, HR and recruitment issues, climate change, remaining relevant, and more
