OMA 2018 Pre-Conference Tours
When: Saturday, April 14, 2018 - 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Coming to Dayton a little early for OMA 2018?
Not able to make it to the full OMA conference but still want a great OMA 2018 experience? Join us Saturday, April 14 for a full day of exploration and fun at three iconic Dayton museums!
The day will start at OMA2018 Conference Headquarters, the Holiday Inn Dayton-Fairborn at 9 a.m. Stops will include:
National Museum of the U.S. Air Force - 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Attendees can explore on their own the 1 million square feet of exhibit space, check out a movie in the Theater (schedule will be released prior to the conference), ride the cockpit 360 and Virtual Reality rides, and shop the museum store.
Attendees can also choose to take a guided tour of the NMUSAF’s newest 4th Building, led by Roberta Carothers, Chief of the museum’s Collection Management Division, and enjoy a guided tour of the Early Years and WWII Galleries.
A box lunch is provided as part of the event ticket. Enjoy lunch in the first building Café before we continue to our second stop!
Boonshoft Museum of Discovery – 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Attendees can tour the full slate of Boonshoft exhibits – including Science on a Sphere,™ the MeadWestvaco Treehouse, the Discovery Zoo and more! Be sure to head to the planetarium for the 2 p.m. show!
Sunwatch Indian Village – 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
At our final stop, attendees can explore the indoor Interpretive Center and theater. Weather permitting attendees can visit the reconstructed 800 –year-old village with structures in their original, exact location.
Attendees will be returned to the Holiday Inn Dayton-Fairborn at the close of the tour. Cost includes box lunch at the National Museum of the US Air Force, planetarium show at Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, and all transportation.
