Today is Humanities Advocacy Day!

The
National Humanities Alliance and a record number of humanities advocates from across the nation are taking to Capitol Hill today to speak with legislators about the importance of the humanities in our communities.

With recent budget reports that put federal funding for the humanities in danger, there has never been a more critical time to speak up about the power of the humanities, and the impact federal funding for humanities projects has across the state of Ohio.

Not in Washington D.C. today but still want to help advocate? The National Humanities Alliance makes it easy! Visit the NHA’s Action Page for details on how you can contact your members of congress to help support humanities funding.

Be sure to follow #HAD17 on social media for all the updates and posts from today’s Humanities Advocacy Day.

Thank you for your advocacy action! There is no better way to speak up about the importance of museums than together, with one collective voice!
