The Dayton Art Institute seeks part time safety/security officers to ensure the protection and safety of its staff, members and guests, museum collections, properties and facilities from various threats and potential threats while delivering exceptional customer service. Strong attention to detail, communication, sound judgment and decision-making skills, and an ability to respond effectively in emergency situations essential.

Position requires standing for long periods of time, ability to climb stairs and lift/move up to 45 lbs. Previous security and customer service experience preferred; training provided. CPR and First Aid certification a plus. Must pass a criminal background check and drug, nicotine, and tobacco free test. Knowledge of American Sign Language, or fluent in Spanish or other language(s) desired.

Work Schedule and Hourly Rate: Minimum of three shifts per week (average of 24-hours) and must be available to work two weekend days per month.

Salary range: $13.50-$15.00
