Dayton Society of Natural History seeks a Registrar.
The DSNH Registrar maintains museum databases utilizing PastPerfect Museum Software and monitors objects from the DSNH collections in storage and on display. The Registrar is part of a Collections team that oversees and is responsible for the management, security, preservation, and collection of artifacts and specimens contained in the collection. The Registrar’s primary location is the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, but will also work at SunWatch Village. The Registrar is required to work a regular schedule of Sunday through Thursday and may be asked to flex time to work on a Friday or Saturday for special events. Master’s Degree in Museum Studies, Public History, or related field is required with at least 2 years of experience preferred. The individual is required to have experience working with PastPerfect Software. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in Natural History collections.
Salary range: $35,600
